LAS VEGAS, NV—April 18, 2013 Two experienced players in test and evaluation services have teamed up in Texas. Combined Technical Services, LLC (CTS) was formed solely to support the U.S. Army Operational Test Command’s (USAOTC) mission at Fort Hood. WESTECH International, Inc. (WESTECH) and TRAX International Corporation (TRAX) comprise the managing members of this populated joint venture.
With both companies’ rich history supporting the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) serving as a foundation, CTS will perform testing, data collection, or experimentation in support of combined Developmental and Operational Tests, Joint and Multi-Service Tests, training activities, and other Department of Defense (DOD) activities. Several small business partners will also support the CTS team in order to meet the Army’s specific requirements.
WESTECH has provided support services to USAOTC since 1998, first at the Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD) at Fort Huachuca and most recently on the present Test Support Contract (TSC) at Fort Hood. Its services include test and mission planning, analysis and evaluation; engineering services; systems fabrication; instrumentation systems assembly and installation; and the operational test of systems for the Warfighter.
Formed in 1979 to support test and evaluation activities at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), TRAX has capabilities ranging from test and evaluation engineering and technical services for the DOD, to the design of power plant engineering and training simulators for the energy industry. Having recruited and hired more than 2,000 personnel to staff technical contracts in a variety of venues around the country, TRAX has a demonstrated ability to effectively manage a workforce on behalf of its clients.
NOTE: The contract has been suspended under protest since April 30.
